It looks like it's snowing balls of cotton at my house today.
If you have cotton at your house too, it's because of our trees. I'm sure.
Between the sticky sap which we call "stickies", the cotton, and the leaves dropping in the fall, I wonder sometimes if our neighbors wish they could pluck our trees out carelessly by the roots.
Deacon's socks plastered with stickies...the sap NEVER comes off.(Taken last month)
I would be sad though. As long as we are here, the trees are going to stay. They have much to offer.
Despite their torturous ways.

Lucy made this yesterday...
I would call her Princess Cotton Ball...or something like that if I could.(She is even fluffier in person)
Lucy confidentially found a package of cotton balls in the bathroom and went to town with a bottle of glue...making things in her room for hours. She came and asked me a time or two if she could have certain things for her surprise. Like a few of my buttons and some of my cute pink yarn with balls on it too. I had no idea that what she was making would turn out to be so fluffy.
I might have to frame this one.
Katie ended up getting a cotton ball birthday card yesterday too, made by both my girls.
