Independence Day

Today we...Swam at Ken and Robin's house, came home and ate grubs with Alex, fam and Jahde and...
watched fireworks in the comfort of our own driveway. Great times.

July 4th Post Op

If it weren't for Skipper, there would be no pictures from this night. Today was pretty low key for me. I stayed home and rested, while Dae took the kids swimming at Ken and Robin's in the afternoon. Being 5 days post surgery, I didn't feel up to it. They brought home burgers(JCW's) for dinner and we spent the rest of the evening at home watching fireworks from the comfort of our own front yard. None of us minded that one bit. Or maybe they were just being nice to me. Actually...what made it awesome was when Dae took the kids up on top of the roof to watch the fireworks up high. That was something they have never got to do.

July 4th 2014

Watching fireworks at our house with our Hullinger friends including grandpa GregWe could see the fireworks from the jr. high perfectly sitting on our lawn and we didn't even have to leave or fight with crowds. It was nice being at home for a change in the quietness of the cult-e-sac.

Earlier that day we went to Ken and Robin's to play in the pool and to eat good food. The kids forgot swimming suits so they took turns floating on the raft dipping their legs in the cool water.

Red White And Blue

Picture above is Chloey(cousin) in the middle with Lucy and Kandus. (I love how they dressed patriotic together)

It was a hot hot day today. We celebrated Independence day at Lindsey and Ben's with a bbq, basketball, frisbee, and fireworks. And of course fireworks are always the highlight. Even if that means just a few simple sparklers...it will do. The kids go giddy over them.

Fireworks From Our Tailgate

After the annual "Culdesac of Fire" we went to a church parking lot and saw some fireworks from across the street.
We had a perfect view.
Atleast we didn't have to wrestle with anyone for a spot. The kids didn't want to leave.
