Lucy and I took a field trip together today. We went to practice the Hope of America performance that her grade was going to perform that evening. Around the middle of the day she started coming down with a fever. She ended up missing the actual performance, but was glad that she got to see how it all went down.
Deacon's second grade glass did the play called Glow and I was asked to help out with it. Deacon was the perfect CATERPILLAR, that everyone loved. It really was a cute play and Deac did such a good job.
Deac is finally in scouts. A little late, but not too late to still have fun. He is especially excited because he gets to spend more time with his best neighborhood friend James.
What she wanted most for her birthday was just to be with a few of her friends and her family. So that's what we did. It was such a fun birthday full of laughs.
When things started to get slow Dae announced everyone had to arm wrestle for a doughnut. That surprisingly won them over.
One of the funniest parts of the night was when Brooke and Deac arm wrestled. They were somehow equally matched. It went on for at least five minutes until they both lifted their arms and got disqualified and therefore had to call a truce. We all laughed so hard.
Lucy was a goof ball of course...
After fretting and searching for a birthday gift for days because she didn't know what she wanted...she remembered something she saw at Hobby Lobby. Something creative of course...It was adorable. And exactly her style.
In Deacon's first grade class I volunteered for quite a few field trips and was asked to come in once a week to help out with the class for a couple hours. I will remember it as bonding time with Deac.
First Grade class in story time.
Ice was in our group this time!
(Deacon and Felicity)
Field day was the day before the last day of school. Deac was racing that day so I came to watch him. His teacher asked to take this picture of us...
