Freak Alley Gallery- Boise, Idaho

We took a short weekend trip to Boise Idaho because Damon was in a tournament there. During the day, the kids and I walked around the city on our own and found cool art in an attempt to help Kandus with an art project she had to do for school. We ended up finding an awesome alley way called "Freak Alley". It went on for about a block straight.

We also saw so many beautiful spring flowers...

Pre-Thanksgiving Pictures

Yesterday the kids and I went to take pictures at grandpa Jay's. Even though the leaves have fallen and everything isn't as green, it was so beautiful there. Not only that, but now we can say we've taken pictures at grandpa Jay and grandma Luana's. There will always be fond memories of that place.

Jaxon and Breanna came with us. I can't believe how adorable they are.

It's Halloween Day

Don't they look like the big bad wolf and the grandmother in Little Red Riding Hood? Deac is a werewolf and Lucy is a very hip grandma.

Berry Shortcake Situation

Today at grandma's and grandpa's, everyone was crazy happy with the dessert we had. I mean, just look at it! Dae started all the love with his double decker shortcake situation.

 Grandma and grandpa are selling their home and will be living with Lindsey and Ben, at Ken and Robin's, while they are away on a mission. This will be one of the last times we will be here at the old house. I will miss it. Mostly the memories, young and old. But I am happy for my parents.

Cupcakes in the Summer Ft. Deacon the unicorn

Me, Lucy, and Deac decided to make a summer fun list so we could look at it whenever we were bored and get ideas about what to do. This day, we decided to make cupcakes. This picture is when we were about to put them in the oven, I think. It was really fun doing that with them. I remember the frosting turned out REALLY disgusting. It tasted like that frosting you use for gingerbread houses, but worse. Lucy and Deac liked it though, so good for them. Deacon has a mini unicorn ponytail, if you didn't notice. Also, Lucy and Deacon insisted that I wore an apron to match with them even though I thought I didn't even need one. I also remember that we tried to fill them with melted chocolate but it hardened before we could even put it in the cupcake. Lucy and Deac put it in them anyway. It was really fun, even though the cupcakes didn't turn out as we imagined.

Spring Free

Sunday, which was a warmish New Years wintry day, we set up our Christmas present, our spring free trampoline. It took several hours and a couple of rewind attempts in places, to get it right. I wanted to show you the different steps we took setting up this beast, and although I am not in the pictures, I helped every step of the way. So don't forget that.

 (Dae is smashing down the "springs" and locking them in place. Those where definitely the most difficult part.)

 And it's done!! Besides the basketball hoop we will add later.

 A new fun is now on the agenda...and hopefully a lot less electronics.

A Bribed Christmas Picture

I took these pictures of Jack and the kids on a whim the other day, just so that we could include them as gifts to grandparents for Christmas. Actually, the truth is that I had been dreaming up the idea for quite some time and I bribed them into letting me for my own selfish desires! The Christmas present part was just an excuse, really.

They were all extremely willing. Most of them. 

The Chess Championship

On this day, we all decided to play chess. I don't really remember all of the rules to the battle, all I know it was pretty fun. This went on for at least 2 hours. We all sat down by the fire and had a sort of chess championship. Of course dad won, cuz he's da numba one at chess. I remember that we were listening to classical music some of the time. I also remember one of the songs that played was from Lord of the Rings. This picture is when I was going against dad, and when Lucy and Deac were playing each other. Also Jack was laying by the fire.

Last Warm Days of the Year

The kids and I were outside making Christmas tree snowflakes. I remember telling them to remember how warm it was on this day because things were going to change quick. It felt so nice.
