Thanksgiving 2015

Dinner with ALL the Hullinger's at the church near the temple. Andi wanted us to snap a picture for her as she is missing the holidays with family, while in Indiana.

A Small Thanksgiving of Plenty

In the picture we were making a before dinner snack. It was pickled asparagus and cheeses rolled in prosciutto, if I remember right.
We had Thanksgiving with grandpa Greg at our home this year. It was fun to be home for a change. It was just us and him and it was so enjoyable. We had some one on one time with him which doesn't happen often. You would think we wouldn't have a big selection of food but on the contrary, we actually did and it was delicious. Grandpa Greg is such a great cook.

A Fancy Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was at our house this year so Emily had a sleepover with the girls. They got to do all kinds of girlish things including nail painting, makeup, and a fashion show...dramatized on the crazy/sassy side of course. Which was funny because in all honesty Kandus and Lucy hate being fancy and even get embarrassed at times about maybe looking "too fancy". Especially Lucy...she used to say that she hated poodles because they were "fancy". One of the worst things you could have called her was when she was little was "fancy". Remember this?

Ever seen one of these? It's called a puzzle ball(I think). Deacon got the ball shortly after we moved in and the whole family has been trying and trying since then to put the puzzle ball together, including grandma Lu and grandpa Bart when they come to visit.
So far there has only been one person able to complete the puzzle time and time again without any problems. ONE person. And that person is.....me! I feel like I one a lottery or something!

Update: Deac is the second runner up!!! He put it together once. It was pretty adorable watching him try.

Turkey Or Girl?

To a happy Thanksgiving.

Which one am I?

Thankful

I have been somewhat on the emotional side the last couple of days. Not too bad though, and not because I've been sad. You know when you find yourself thinking deeper...longer, about what matters most to you? When you really slow down...and take more time to notice what you have?

Some of what I am thankful for ~

I'm thankful to God...for granting me life and a happy contentment that I share with my family...and for forgiving my life long imperfections. For being patient with me because I have so much to learn.

I'm thankful for Damon...who despite how flawed I may be and always will be, I know he still loves me just the same. I know with him, I don't have to try to be more than I am...just me. There are two words that have always described him...he is FUN-LOVING. With our children and with me. I love him for that.

I am thankful to my kids for teaching me how to be more patient, and helping me embrace my kid at heart. For loving me indefinitely and for letting me love them.

I am thankful for people who look past differences we all have and who love unconditionally.

I am thankful to have a cozy home to hang my hat, the food we need, a flushing toilet, diapers, baby wipes, hot showers, my digital camera, my dishwasher, and feminine toiletries(seriously, think about that).

I love all of you! Annie
