Deacon Went Bowling

Today Deac and I went with his 3rd grade class to Jack and Jill's to bowl. It was his very first time ever and he beat everyone in our group of 7, including me. I came in second to last. He was giddy with pride. I couldn't believe it.

Museum of Natural Curiosity

Deac and I went on a field trip together today with his 3rd grade, to Thanksgiving Point's Museum of Natural Curiosity. I had never been there before, he had. It was a great time and I'm glad I went with him. As tradition has it we had to do crazy selfies together on the bus ride. Here we are...

Hope Of America

Lucy and I took a field trip together today. We went to practice the Hope of America performance that her grade was going to perform that evening. Around the middle of the day she started coming down with a fever. She ended up missing the actual performance, but was glad that she got to see how it all went down.

Hee Haw's With Deac

Today Deac and I went on a field trip to Hee Haw's. We had so much fun with the animals, especially the goats.

The goats were so friendly and wanted to be right in the pictures with us. They made us laugh a lot. Deac liked the little ones the best.
It was such a fun day being with you Deac.

Field Trip to Hee Haw Farms

Lucy and I headed off on a class field trip together today to Hee Haw Farms. Mrs. Day's 5th grade class.
Loving the bunnies and the potato sack slide!

Just as soon as we boarded the bus to leave it started POURING RAIN. Lots...of rain and lightning. The busses then headed for Adventure park. The entire 5th grade huddled under a pavilion for shelter while we all ate, hoping we weren't going to get struck by lightning despite the cover.
