rhino

Every morning when Deac wakes up he quietly creeps into our bedroom on his tiptoes, while bobbing up and down into lunges. He only thinks he is so sneaky. If I am not already awake, I always am after this. Seeing his cute little head disappear below the mattress and then pop back up a second later is enough to crack me up for an entire day. He'll take one quick look at Dae and I, and if he doesn't see an open eye or sense of alertness from either of us, off he runs back in his room and slams the door. Then he'll go back to sleep for a few minutes...or maybe he just sucks his thumb and waits. If he does see an open eye though, he'll stay a while and chat, lay by me, or ask for cereal.

I love it so much.

The red shirt Deac is wearing in this picture has a rhino on it. He calls it his "dragon warrior shirt".

In a funny way it reminds me of him.

It reads...The white rhino is actually grey...A grazer feeding on grasses, lives in savannas with water holes, mud wallows and shade trees.

Deac is an animal...a white rhino.
