Proud.

This morning I dropped Kandus off to school without her best friend for the second time this week. She likes it that way sometimes and so do I. Let's just say it is very good for her.
Life seemed to slow down as I took my time there watching her...
She smiled at me as she waved her tiny hand behind the car window and mouthed the words, "Bye Mom, I love you". Then with a smile she turned to run down the long sidewalk with her feet turned out just like Veta on My Girl...and just like mine.
Her blonde hair whirled back and forth as it reflected the brilliant morning sun. She turned back and looked at me a few times to smile and to wave again. She looked so tiny there from a distance. So young. Yet my Kandus is so "big".
I had a moment.
I couldn't stop smiling.
Kandus...You are growing...changing...trying so hard...becoming YOU. I am so proud of you.

I am crying AGAIN! Mom always tells me I cry at Mcdonalds commercials. I hope Kandus always remembers how amazing she is.
