School's out. Well, Kandus says it is, but technically there is still one more day with a whole 2 hours in home room class. She doesn't want to go because she is sure there will be no other girls besides her there. Some teenage girl's would jump at the chance to be in a classroom of all boys, but not Skipper.
We all have high hopes for this summer with lots of dreams of vacationing. It has been too long since our family has done a real fun vacation besides a quick stay in Idaho(which was actually really fun BTW).
Some of our hopes for this summer include...
#1- A road trip to all these states...Idaho, Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada, and then home. But the real deal is that we want to go for 2 or 3 weeks! How would that be???
#2- Camping in the Uintas
#3- Lake Tahoe
And extras...Swimming, movies, reading, ultimate frisbee, disc golf, soccer, piano, etc.
In the middle of all that somewhere I need to work in a partial hysterectomy. The dr. said I should be back to my normal self within 2 weeks or so. That might be overly optimistic, we'll see. I would love to move on and get it over with. Right now, we are waiting for a surgery date so that we can plan our vacation around it. I am nervous, I'm not going to lie. Mostly just the idea of it. I used to think hysterectomies were only what REALLY old women did...now I am facing it.
