Thirteen and Still Me

I don't know if you can tell in the picture, but Kandus was crying. She was so adorable. Dae was on a business trip. He had to leave a few days after the family got home from California. So, she was partly sad that he was gone. We all, including him, made a homemade card for her before he left and gave her some money in it that she could spend on what she wanted. She was so grateful and so cute. She also REALLY didn't want to turn thirteen. I believe that also contributed to the tears. I think she realized though that everything was cool even though she was a teenager now. She didn't even grow horns or a tail or anything! Kandus, I love you so much. I believe it isn't our age that changes us, but the experiences in life.
