Mom's(grandma's) spoken idea/wish to have a cabin built in her back yard for the grandkids to play in was all that was needed to get things rolling. Our family is pretty amazing that way.

There is a lot going on in these pictures featuring an all day family event including any and all who could come help with Mom's cabin. Or really, just to be socially supportive(that's what I did). Granted, all of these pictures are pretty random and they don't include everyone that was there that day, but at least they will show you just a little bit of the "family" feeling that was there.
I love this picture of Dad and Katie so much. Something about it...so original, yet so everyday and expected. From the look on Dad's face...to Katie's wild beautiful hair. The fact that the two of them chose to come out amongst the family instead of staying inside because they didn't want to miss a thing, brings a sort of nostalgia. I love moments like this. I love sitting around chatting while people are getting their hair cut by Katie. It's become sentimental to me.
There were water wars going on...oh yeah. (Kyler and Garret among many others)
Little ones wanting to work along side the big ones. (Deacon)
Tina, Mom, Maryann, and Ken, Mckay, and Matthew in the background.
Alex grilling for everyone. Like he always happily does.
Lindsey, Mica, and Andie carrying a baby while wearing some kind of basket for a hat??
Brynley, Breanna, and Charly.
Months later...
After weeks of hard work by family members and Mom and Dad themselves, the cabin is finally their own. Isn't it beautiful?
