It's been a while....
How about I start here...I spent the first part of the summer painting my entire house. Well, not really. Just the bathroom, living room, downstairs kitchen and the family room twice. It looks a lot different over here, you should see it. It took me a long time, mostly because I am predestined to fail first time around when it comes to choosing paint colors. They never look the way they do on cardstock. In the family room I plastered a big portion of the wall with different colors of pictures and mirrors. I love it. It's what I have dreamed up for years. When the summer began I up and decided spur of the moment that I wanted to change things around here.
Actually, it all started because of Ashley. It's pretty much her fault. One day I came home and saw these 3 picture frames(yellow, teal, and white) neatly stacked and tied together by oversized fluffy green yarn. Damon said to me, "Ashley brought those by for you today." I immediately fealt curious and slightly nervous! What on earth could they be?? I untied the first one.....and knew right away.
Do these pictures look at all familiar?
Oh boy! I cried and then I cried again and then I looked at Dae and said, "I can't believe she did this for me."
I knew exactly where I was going to put them. But they couldn't go up on just any ugly-old cave-looking wall now could they?

Again the summer has slipped by me in the blink of an eye. School has begun. Not sure yet how I feel about that one. I always like having them all at home the best.(We all already know this) But I don't think that would really work out to well for long. I'm still bracing myself for the reality to sink in and really hit me. But so far I think I've prepared myself enough emotionally this year, so it hasn't been too bad. Or maybe I just cried 2 years worth last year. Probably that one. Next year....Deac will go to Kindergarten. That one will be rough. But I can do it, just like every other mom.
Dae and I really liked having our girls being one of the oldest in their class, giving them a little extra time to grow up at home. So we are giving Deac that same oportunity. For now we are trying out some preschool. It is our hope that it will be a positive, fun, "out" for him a couple days a week. We'll see how it goes. Deac and his cousin Noah are in the same class together...they are excited about that.
