Sea World and Lagoona Beach.

A day at Sea World, San Diego.
We love Sea World!
Learning about penguins...Kandus' favorite.
Eating chocolate and caramel covered apples as we wait for the amazing dolphin show to start.
Just so you know...we saw both the dolphin show and the killer whale show....the dolphins by far rocked the stage!
Deac eating his green apple...In the SOAK ZONE...on a freezing day.(we actually didn't get wet)

Lagoona Beach~
This is one of the prettiest beaches I have seen. It was in a ritzy, VERY beautiful area.
The days we'd spent in California so far were not what any of us would call warm OR relaxing.
So we were ALL desperately hoping for a warm day at the beach.
I had every intention of playing with the family in the water when we got there.
That is, until my big toe felt the water. It was very cold. There was no way I was going to freeze another day.
Instead I lay on the beach like a reptile in the sun, trying to stay warm.
And I was warm. Finally.
It was the first time the whole trip long that I didn't have a worry in the world.
No need to tell my children to hold my hand, or to keep up...they wouldn't be getting lost. Not here.
It was peaceful. It was quiet.
As I lay there playing with the sand, I let it fall through my fingers, and I focused my mind on the sounds of the waves.
I remember thinking to myself...for a few moments, there is absolutely not a care in the world.
I completely let go and even dozed off for a few minutes as Deacon piled sand on my feet higher and higher.
Hours later.....
I realized!
I put sunscreen on everyone, like I always do(because I am a sunscreen freak)....everyone except for myself.
...I forgot my legs.
I've never had a sunburn this bad.
Closely resembling honey roasted ham.
Swollen, hobbling, tender.
Thank you so much Deacon for covering my feet!
I would like to tell all the world...
DON'T FORGET YOUR SUNSCREEN!!!!
