How close are YOU to being ready?
Are your eyeballs seeing Christmas at every turn like mine are?
...Come to think of it, I can't recall at this moment if I am ready or not. But I've got to be darn close.
As of today, I have added a VERY cool project to my list of to do's. I am thinking of making this, for you know who, but in dark blue. When I saw it on NieNie's blog yesterday I gasped in excitement!
I think about my mom and all of the meaningful, homemade gifts she made for us at Christmas time. She absolutely amazes me. When money was scarce, she made do with what she had...and it was always wonderful. Now that I'm a mom, all of those gifts made by HER hands mean even more to me.

Katie and I were talking about this today. She mentioned to me that I always make things for my kids. Which I don't. It's hard and timely...harder than buying something already made. But I was then reminded of all of the things I have made, and it made me happy. I hope to hand down just a little bit of homemade goodness to my children. And maybe someday they will remember my hands at work too.
...Making something super special, just for them, because I love them.
