Christmas Party ~ Hullinger's

We had our annual Christmas party with the Hullinger side today. We enjoyed pot luck, white elephant gifts, a manger scene act, and lots of good company. Damon even managed to keep the white elephant exchange brawls at bay by cam cording everyone and making them nervous.

This is a picture of the kids with their great Grandma Luana and Grandpa Jay.(Deac wasn't too happy about taking a picture this time.) They mean so much to Damon and I, and our children love them beyond doubt. I count myself as lucky to have inherited those two when I married into the family. They are such a great example of love to all of us.

The manger scene.
Some of the cousins and second cousins.

Back row: Charlie, Emily, Allissa, Olivia, and Payton.
Middle: Mckay, Lucy, Kandus, Savannah, and Walker.
Front: Deacon

On the drive to the party, Kandus was reminding Damon and I that she wasn't feeling quite perfect that day. Sometimes her stomach just hurts for no reason at all. Damon asked her nicely, "Kandus, will you try to be..." happy, he was going to say when his sentence was cut short by Lucy who added, "selfish." Damon and I paused as we looked at each other and smiled. A second later we heard Lucy quietly ask, "What does shellfish mean?"

Then we ALL laughed.
It's funny and innocent times like this that I never want to forget.

Three things you can always count on at the Hullinger Christmas Party. 1* Singing We are a gifted bunch of people with amazing voices. 2* a box of chocolates from uncle Dennis ( which makes me sad this year cause I cant have any)And Suckers from Aunt Judy. 3* They're will always be a change in the Rules to the "white elephant" game. This is my favorite holiday party!
