Slinky dog

Some of us are allready thinking about Christmas. I know, I know....don't even go there. Well, after you hear what happened you might agree with me that I might need this much time.
Lucy aproached me yesterday with a very serious look on her face. She asks me, "Mom, does Santa always bring what kids want at Christmas?" I stared blankly into her beautiful chocolate drop eyes for a moment debating on whether or not this was a trick question.
"Yes," I tell her..."as long as the mom and dad say it's okay."
She replied, "Okay, because I want a dog like on Toy Story with the long tail. Except for mine will be different. It will have a blankie and a bottle." I told her that Santa might not know how to make a slinky dog.
"But Mom, Santa knows how to make anything." Then she drew me a picture.(She actually added a bow on it's head after I had already scanned it.)
Okay, so this cute little kid has given this a lot of thought. I love that she knows exactly what she wants. Either she forgets about it and decides on something else, or I tap into the art of gentle persuasion, or I find a slinky dog. What do ya say?
